The Beatles Concert Reunion.
Of course no one can truly replace the departed members, but here are my suggestions of some folks who can get the job done musically on the stage.

To replace John: none other than his own flesh and blood, Sean Lennon.
Many will say that Julian would be a better match vocally, but Sean is the son of Yoko, thus adding the element that set John apart from the pack. Sean will bring that experimental nature that John had that pushed the Beatles to great heights after their Beatles 65 release.

To replace George: none other than his good buddy Eric Clapton. Beatles historians know he has already worked with the group in the past. Eric's immense talent on the electric will only add to the deluxe structures of many of the Beatles later recordings.

And speaking of deluxe structures, many are asking how are The Beatles going to be able to pull off may of their later involved hits. The answer lies in something that was not an option on that fateful day when the lads took the stage at Shay Stadium and debuted themselves to the world: synthesizers. Paul is no slouch at the piano as heard on songs like "Long and Winding Road". so he will have no problem working with patches of orchestra strings done up with todays top technology,

I know some of you are expressing doubts. How can Paul play bass when he has to play piano and synthesizer on many of the tunes? You say Eric is a great guitar player. but he cant match the Harmony singing that George did.

Well. I've got 3 words for you, Timothy B Schmidt.
He has already worked with Ringo in the past, so the bond is their and he obviously works cheaply. He will be able lend his bassist and singing ability to really round out the sound.

Paul has long been bitter with Michael Jackson, so the O2 arena is a perfect setting for the concert. It would be a live broadcast on BBC2, and shown via tape delay via the CW network in the US. Clips would also be available later on Myspace,

Capitol Records would revive the "VJ" logo for a live album release would benefit many in the world via a series of organizations that could be overseen by Yoko.

Setlist:
1. Roll Over Beethoven
2. Lucy in the Sky
3. It Don't Come Easy
4. Sexy Sadie
5. Taxman
6. Medley: Let it Be/Hey Jude/Get Back
7. Back in the USSR
8. Medley: From me to you/love me do/please please me
9. Tears in Heaven (dedicated to John and George)
10. I cant tell you why

break

11. Abbey Road Side 2 medley
12. Run for you life
13. Free as a bird
14. While my guitar gently weeps
15. I want to hold your hand
16. Drive my car
17. Hard Days Night
18.Long and winding road

encore:
19. Band on the run
20. Help from my friends

encore 2:

Fuck that. Why not Phil Collins?

Well honestly, I don't think Phil would be a good fit.
The Beatles were about raw basics, where as Genesis was about theatrics, and his later solo material took on serious subjects that would be out of place at a feel good Beatles reunion, and I personally don't think that Phil could leave that baggage behind.

Hate to say this, but why not incorporate Paul's current bandmembers??? The CitiField shows were as grand as if seeing the Beatles themselves, and they pulled off the Beatles songs effortlessly. One of Paul's members on guitar...not Rusty, the other blonde guy, forgot his name...he switched to bass when Paul played his Les Paul and piano...Abe Laboriel Jr is a kickass drummer, and he can play drums when Ringo sings...Phil would not fit cuz he can't play drums anymore...why not George's son Dhani in place of George???

And you heard about the band "Here Come The Sons", right??? It's Sean & Julian Lennon, James McCartney, Dhani Harrison & Zak Starkey...they are in denial that they are a band, but the rumours are prob true, and the collabos have started.

I was joking. Sarcasm is lost on the Internet. Back at the time of Live Aid, there was a rumor the Beatles were going to do it with Phil filling in for John. Which was as absurd then as it is now.

I think a Beatles reunion -- with any ringers, including the ones you mention -- is a horrible idea. You can't replace John Lennon and George Harrison. Just can't be done.

I would have Taylor Swift replace John Lennon.
