Interesting piece from Martin Bashir:

if we want to talk absolutes, then this is merely Ozzy updated for 2010...and the responsiblity, ultimately resting with the individual
...but for them, as individuals, I wonder just how, at the end of their live=s, they will feel, knowing they were in fact the conduit, the affirmation, ney, the vehicle of permission, validated on a ritualistic level, to embark on their fantasized crime sprees, its especially interesting that these are kids that are starting, apparently, at the top of the gore food chain with bloody murders, etc., instead of working their way up the ladder of evil
I felt like I was watching the Klan, 2010, like these fuckers stole the audacity of the black's rap filthy edge and just upped it with the whiteness of vulgar anger into murderous rants
may they rot in hell, along with anyone that is involved

I caught that the other night. I was surprised to learn ICP was still around!

Cult like but fairly large underground following for these guys still, surprisingly. I wonder how much longer they can interest younger generations though. Even the "ageless makeup" effect can't afford them a Kiss like endurance for younger generations. One would think anyway........

oh for fucks sake!
98% of these shitbreaths are simply tasteless, lonely, bored, white trash, chat room tough guy, toilet cloggers who are helplessly addicted to sugary drinks, trans-fats and chronic... masturbation.
the other 2% are sociopathic murdering shitbreath lifers whose cornholes are about to get violent j'ed by a hardcore too short fan in cellblock 4.

Music like this undoubtedly attracts sociopaths. Whether it actually creates sociopaths is another question. In my opinion, it doesn't.

I used to think music didn't create behavior. Then I saw a Ministry show (no, not five years ago - there was a time when they were really genuinely dangerous gigs). I wasn't so sure.
Seeing some empty-headed failed-PTA type lecture on their evils simply lets me know that the IQ bar for law enforcement has been lowered too far. "Juggalos" are a registered gang in UT and AZ? Of course they are! Those two states embody dunderheaded conservativism. I'm shocked South Carolina hasn't gotten with the program. And Kentucky.
You know, if you live in a world of violent imagery, it has to have an effect on you. Those stage shows gave me the creeps.

I'm not a fan of that crap, but I see what ABC News is doing. That ABC News reporter blames ICP for the crimes of a few self-proclaimed fans. Does that mean that ABC is responsible for the crimes by viewers of their shows? There's violence depicted in ABC shows like Lost. How about all those crime reenactments in their news shows (b&w, scary music, slow motion, graphic descriptions)? Martin Bashir isn't reporting on the studies that show influence of violence on TV and movies on young people. ABC News is trying to take a high moral ground, or that's Nightline's way of getting a musical guest onto their late night show (they've been doing interviews with musical guests lately). Martin Bashir is trying to get some ratings before Conan O'Brien takes his time slot away in Sept (maybe?).
